Look, I hate my vids. I love live shows.
Judge not, just find me live.
The website builder automatically had "check out this great video!" written here. I changed it because I don't think I've ever had a *great* video. I've had phenomenal LIVE shows, and I love live-show-energy. Also, I hate watching myself, so I asked a couple friends to watch this vid and tell me if it's decent, they said it is, so here, watch it.
I was a burlesquer for 10ish years, 2006-2016. I'm married to words though, and did spoken word striptease. Here's one of my pieces.
9/2017: I gave a Tedx Talk at the University of KS. I haven't watched this vid. In my mind, everything performative I did in 2016 - 17 was just me hysterically shrieking "MY DAD IS DEAD AND I DO NOT KNOW WHAT TO DO!!!", because that was the truth. It kinda still is. Giving a TEDx Talk was huge for me, I wish I would've had my head in the game enough to do it well. It never felt right, so I kept working on it until the morning of the event, hence my reading it off cards. Dang grief brain.
Here's another burlesque piece. Idk what the quality is like, again, I won't watch them.
Once upon a time, I had a webseries. Here's what they call a "teaser" for it. Some of the actual episodes are posted below. My original desire was to share the conversations, and entertain (duh, always), but also something deeper. It's always been hard for me to put into words what I wanted to show with this. Besides my ass, of course. These aren't available for viewing anywhere else, btw, and I'm okay with that.
Peeping Comics 1
Peeping Comics 2
Peeping Comics 3
Peeping Comics 4 (actually ep 6, can't find 4 or 5)
This is old as hell. It will prob not impress you, but why does that even matter anymore? Sure, I want you to like me, I seek approval like crazy, but I am so tired right now. At some point in my life I thought this was a good video.
Interesting fact: I stopped telling the first joke after I got assaulted in my home by a dude that broke in and woke me up with it. Didn't feel as funny anymore.
This is also old as hell. It was filmed at Harvey's in PDX. Small crowd, un-pro video, it also won't impress you. It's one of my original games from an old variety show of mine, Giggle-n-Grind. The game is titled "What's My Position".
